• Now right click on SoftwareDistribution folder and then click on rename and type a different name. You can type SoftwareDistribution.old then press enter.

Step 3

In step 3 you have to start the Background Intelligent Transfer Service and the Windows Updates service that are stopped in step 1. To start it follows these steps.

• Open command prompt and then type these command and execute it one by one.

net start bits

net start wuauserv
