After paste the commands into the notepad click on save as that is in the file menu and then type register.bat in the file name box and then choose all files in the save as type box. Give the location of file as desktop and then click on save. After saving the file right click on the register.bat file and then click on run as administrator in the popup menu. If you are not login as administrator then type the password for confirmation and then click on ok. When the register.bat file execute then your problem is solved. Now you can try to windows update again you will not face the error code 0x80070424. I have fix my pc from these steps and then windows update is possible in my computer.
