Solution of windows update error code 0X80246002
If you want to update the windows then it is necessary to remove the windows update error code 0X80246002. To remove this error first of all click on start and then type notepad in the program search box and then press enter. Open the notepad and then copy the following commands and paste into the notepad.
et stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
ren Download Download.old
net start wuauserv
When the above commands are posted in to the notepad then you have to click on save as option that is available in the file menu. Then provide the location desktop to save the file and then type Rename.bat in the file name box and finally click on save button. After saving the file exit from the notepad. Now in the desktop right click on Rename.bat file that is saved in the above lines and then click on run as administrator. If you are not logged in with admin then you have to type the admin password. When the Rename.bat file executed then you can try to update windows from the Windows update website or Microsoft update website. You will see the update of windows successfully install in your system and you will not face the windows update error code 0X80246002. I fix my pc from the given process and then I am able to update my windows based computer.
